The Greenest City
On tuesday, after more than a week of living out of boxes and bags at my parents' house, I successfully touched down in Sheffield. The house is lovely, but it's taking a bit of getting used to. I've lived in just one room in a flat (or in halls) since I was eighteen, so now having a half-share in an entire house is a bit disorientating... but good!
So I'm still alive, and will post more once there's news and I'm a little more organised. Work, and therefore free internet access, begins next monday, so expect more details and activity then.
(Sheffield is the greenest city in europe. Official! This is because it has the greatest number of trees per capita.)

Loads of trees per capita is alright I suppose, but has the whole city been cunningly engineered to funnel the wind to wherever you're standing and blow your skirt up? Hmmmm? Edinburgh has!
hey richard

Green is good. Lot of space is good. So life must be good in Sheffield ;).
Greetings from Iceland...
Do you know that Sheffield has the lowest number of people per tree of any city in Europe? We are neglected...

How about a new entry for lonely suburbian housewife, sorry, ambitious visiting scholar :)

I think those trees he was boasting about turned out to be triffids. He's been eaten!
